Text Message Terms
The short version
If you tick the box at checkout, Vessa Tickets texts you news and new nights from the host of that night. The host writes the message and Vessa sends it for them. You can stop it at any time by replying STOP. You never have to say yes to buy a ticket.
The program
Name: Vessa Tickets event texts. It is run by Vessa Technologies LLC, a Texas limited liability company, which sends the texts for the hosts you opted in to.
What we send: news and new nights from a host you opted in to, written by the host, for example “Rooftop Sessions via Vessa: Doors for Halloween Ball open at 10 PM Saturday. Early tickets are $20 until Friday. vessatickets.com/e/halloween-ball Reply STOP to opt out”. Each text names the host and Vessa, and the only link in one is to vessatickets.com. We do not send anything else under this program, and nobody else’s offers.
How often: message frequency varies, with the hosts you opted in to. Across all of Vessa you get no more than 2 of these texts in 24 hours and no more than 10 in 30 days.
When: marketing texts go out only between 2 PM and 8 PM Eastern, Monday to Saturday, and 3 PM to 8 PM Eastern on Sundays. That is 11 AM to 5 PM Pacific (noon to 5 PM on Sundays), and never before 8 AM or after 8 PM local time anywhere in the 50 states or Washington, DC.
How you join
Checkout offers a box for texts from the host, on events where the host can send them. It is not ticked until you tick it, and it asks for your mobile number only then. By ticking it you ask for automated marketing texts from Vessa Tickets for that host at the number you give. Agreeing is not a condition of buying anything. You join when your order goes through.
This is separate from the box that asks to text you your ticket and updates on the day. That one is covered by section 14 of the Terms.
What it costs
Vessa does not charge you for these texts. Message and data rates may apply: your mobile carrier sets them, not us.
How to stop, and how to get help
Reply STOP to any Vessa text to stop all Vessa texts to that number, marketing and ticket texts too. STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT and REVOKE work as well, and so does telling us in any other reasonable way. When you reply STOP you get one message confirming it, and then no more. Ticking the box again at another checkout does not sign the number up again; to start again, reply START.
Reply HELP for help, or email hello@vessatickets.com.
To have your number taken off every host’s text list and your consent record erased, use Delete my data. Otherwise we keep the record of your consent while you are on a list, and for up to 5 years after the last text we sent you, as proof that you asked for them.
Your number
Give a number that is yours, or one you are allowed to receive texts on. If you give the number up or change it, reply STOP first, so the next person who gets it is not texted.
Carriers, and where it works
The program works for mobile numbers in the 50 states and Washington, DC. Carriers are not liable for texts that are delayed or not delivered, and neither is Vessa. Texts can arrive late or not at all, because carriers decide.
Your information
Mobile numbers and opt-in data are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. The Privacy Policy says what we keep and for how long.
Changes
If we change these terms we post the new version here and change the date at the top. A change never makes us text you more than the box you ticked said.
