Refund Policy
The short version
If the event is cancelled, you get everything back, including our fee. If you just cannot go, ask the organizer, or send your ticket to a friend from inside the ticket.
If the event is cancelled
You get a full refund, including the service fee, automatically, to the card you paid with. You do not need to ask. If you paid cash at the door, nothing can go back to a card: the cash is owed to you by the organizer who sold it.
Refunds usually appear within five to ten business days depending on your bank. We refund our own fee on a cancellation because you did not get what you paid for, and charging for that would be indefensible.
If the event is postponed or moved
Your ticket stays valid for the new date or location. If the new date does not work for you, ask the organizer within 14 days of the change being announced; their contact is on your ticket and the event page. You are entitled to a full refund, including our fee. If you have asked and it has not arrived within seven days, email tickets@vessatickets.com with the email you bought with and we will make it.
If the event did not happen
If the event did not go ahead and you have not been refunded within seven days of its date, email tickets@vessatickets.com with the email you bought with. We hold ticket money until after an event, so we can refund you ourselves.
If you just cannot make it
All sales are final. That is not us being difficult: the organizer has already committed to a venue, staff and artists based on what sold.
Two things you can do instead:
- Send it to a friend. Open your ticket and use “Send to someone else”. It is free, it takes ten seconds, and your copy stops working so nobody gets turned away at the door.
- Ask the organizer. Many will refund if the event is not close to selling out. That is their call, not ours.
If you were refused entry
Refusal for age, ID, capacity, dress code, intoxication or conduct is the organizer’s or venue’s decision, and is not refundable by us. Check the age policy on the event page before you buy.
If your ticket was already scanned
A scanned ticket has been used, so it is not refundable as a matter of course. The organizer can make an exception. If you were scanned in and then sent home, ask them; when they do, the reason is recorded against the ticket.
If it was scanned and it was not you, tell the organizer straight away and they can pull the scan record, which carries the time and the door it happened at.
If something is wrong with your order
Charged twice, charged the wrong amount, wrong number of tickets, or you paid and no ticket came even after Find my tickets: these are ours. Email tickets@vessatickets.com with the email you bought with and the event name, and we will fix it, usually the same day. You do not need the organizer for these.
If the email simply never arrived, Find my tickets sends it again to the address you bought with, and needs nothing but that address. Your tickets are also on the confirmation page you saw after paying, which you can reopen from your browser history.
Anything about the event itself, including a refund the organizer chooses to give when you cannot go, is the organizer’s call. Their contact is on your ticket.
Please do not start a chargeback first
Asking the organizer is faster than your bank and usually fixed the same day. A chargeback for a ticket you used is not a valid dispute, and we will contest it with the timestamped record of the scan at the door.
